In a further step to things going back to normal and probably the most significant yet, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has just announced that Australia's borders will reopen to double-vaccinated international visitors on February 21.
Speaking at a press conference today, Mr Morrison said National Cabinet had decided it was time for the country to reopen to all remaining visa holders, due to declining COVID-19 cases and ICU admissions.
"If you're double-vaccinated, we look forward to welcoming you back to Australia and I know the tourism industry will be looking forward to that" Morrison said.
This literally brings a tear to my eye. So many businesses and families have been wrecked by all of this for the last 2 years and it honestly could not come soon enough.
